The term smart building refers to an intelligent, networked building which provides convenience. Smart building is thus a generic term for technical processes and systems in buildings which aim to improve quality of life and living. A smart building consists of networked and remotely controlled devices and automated processes. This creates convenient operation and efficient energy use with people as the focal point.
There are synonyms for the term smart building, such as smart home, intelligent building or e-home. These systems share similar objectives, but focus on particular areas. HAUTAU technology solutions are grouped under the heading HAUTAU Smart Building, which is defined as follows:
The ConfigTool is used as an operating and configuration user interface with HAUTAU interface and wireless LAN connection. Operation and configuration options depend on the product and may vary depending on the ConfigTool version. The ConfigTool is a software for Android and iOS operating systems and can be obtained from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. It is free to use. No licence fees are charged and no credits need to be obtained which are subject to fees.
The ConfigTool offers the following options:
Operation: for essential functions, such as opening and closing windows or sliding panels and setting the desired ventilation level.
Service: for configuring properties, for example: setting network parameters and changing stroke speeds.
The ConfigBox is intended for installation and service companies and offers a simple way of parametrising and configuring products with the HAUTAU interface in combination with the ConfigTool. The connection between the mobile terminal device and the ConfigBox is established via a wireless LAN connection.
The supply package contains the required cable and adapter, so the system can be easily connected by just plugging in. Power is supplied via the plug-in power supply enclosed, which allows drives to undergo a test run.
