What is important to us

Corporate policy

In order to realise our corporate guideline and to achieve the desired goals, HAUTAU GmbH has set up, documented and implemented a management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 "Quality management systems - Requirements" for the development, manufacture and sale of fittings and automation solutions for windows and french doors together with all those involved.

For the organisation of safety and health of employees at work, ISO 45001 "Management system for safety and health at work" is applied. Environmental protection and guidelines for legal security are also integrated into the system. The basic principles are described in the internal organisation manual.

Through this declaration, the management puts the management system into effect.  It commits itself, the management and all employees to carry out their tasks in accordance with the stipulations of the organisation manual and to constantly improve it.

Quality is reflected in the satisfaction of our customers and is an important prerequisite for the economic success of our company. We want to incorporate our striving for perfect quality into all our thoughts and actions by:

- recognising and understanding the wishes of our customers as a competent partner;

- fulfilling the requirements technically and economically through individual solutions;

- applying all reasonable and appropriate methods to ensure quality and delivery reliability;

- continuously improve our organisation and processes and document them in the management system;

- openly address errors and analyse their causes in order to be able to initiate suitable corrective measures.

R&D and production work hand-in-hand; our production operation is on our German site. This means you have a safe long-term investment and always have a point of contact. We currently hold around 400 patents and registered designs. The HAUTAU brand name enjoys an excellent reputation in Germany and abroad.

Since 1910 until the present day

HAUTAU a leading company in the lock and fittings industry

The HAUTAU family business was set up in Hagenburg in 1910 and then moved to the Kirchhorsten district of Helpsen in 1920. Over the decades, this location has developed from a small craftsmans workshop into a major player in the lock and fittings industry.

HAUTAU celebrated its centenary in 2010 by opening the HAUTAU PIZ Test and Innovation Centre. These two sites occupy a total plot space of approx. 55,000 m², with a building footprint of some 30,000 m².
