The new SBS Comfort Drive is the sophisticated combination of hardware scissor stay and electric motor and is usually controlled by the SHEV control centre or the ventilation control system.

What the SBS Comfort Drive can do
The hardware solution opens, closes and locks with just one drive. It combines scissor stay and electric motor in a compact housing. However, building safety and fire protection are at the top of the list of priorities here.
Faster smoke and heat extraction (RWA)
A new type of scissor geometry and the now even larger opening angle of up to 80° lead to a higher air exchange rate. The window opens in less than a minute. The required opening cross-sections are easily complied with in accordance with building regulations. As proof of suitability for use with smoke and heat extraction systems, the hardware scissor stay was subjected to a positive fire test in accordance with DIN EN 12101-2. Electrical safety has been verified in accordance with EN 60335-1. The scissor stay is controlled automatically via the SHEV control centre using a fire button, ventilation button and smoke detector. The use of wind and rain detectors is also possible.
Significantly greater lifting forces
Despite having the same installation space, it has significantly greater lifting forces of up to 400 N compared to its predecessor. With the integrated synchronised function of two hardware stays, heavy and large windows can be opened or closed effortlessly.
High tightness
The powerful sash pressure makes it possible. The user saves valuable energy and thus fulfils the requirements of the EnEV (Energy Saving Ordinance).
Ventilate naturally
The all-rounder is suitable for controlled natural ventilation (KNL) and ensures a healthy indoor climate at all times. Thanks to the ventilation button with stop function, the window can be set to any open position.
Convenient operation
The use of the hardware system is particularly useful in inaccessible areas or in the case of physical limitations and therefore also contributes to accessibility.
Simple installation
A plug-in terminal strip in the drive facilitates cable connection. It is fixed to the frame using a bracket. A configuration-friendly rotary coding switch enables interaction between the hardware stays in tandem operation. Direct combinations with ZV/R Comfort Drive additional locking systems and SM 2 Comfort Drive bolt drives are also easily possible via the bus connection.
Universal use
SBS Comfort Drive is not profile-related. Universal mounting brackets and sash brackets allow it to be used with all window materials for turn-inward and tilt-inward opening windows. This all-rounder is even suitable for narrow window profiles or for retrofitting to existing windows, as it takes up very little space.
