For an external assessment of the circular maturity level, the hardware professional underwent the Circular Globe Assessment in Salzburg in mid-December 2022. Circular Globe is a label and assessment model that supports companies in their development towards a circular economy.
MACO is a pioneer in Austria
The family-owned company already received a gratifyingly high score in the initial assessment. In the maturity assessment at the organizational level, the bronze level was achieved for all Austrian sites. This makes MACO the second Austrian company ever to receive Circular Globe certification.
"We are delighted with the highest praise from the auditors and our excellent performance. At the same time, the assessment also gave us a lot of food for thought for the future, which we will continue to pursue with courage, determination, patience and, above all, consistency in order to further improve our level of circular maturity," says Sustainability Manager Petra Engeler-Walch, outlining MACO's future path. During the annual audit, the hardware manufacturer wants to make its progress in terms of the circular economy visible. The third Future Report, which will be published at the end of January 2023, will also provide insight into MACO's comprehensive sustainability commitment.
