HAUTAU welcomes its new recruits
HAUTAU is making an important contribution to the qualification of young people in the region with its modern in-company training. The fittings manufacturer is increasingly relying on its own young talent. The company, which is part of the Austrian MACO Group, provides training in both the industrial/technical and commercial fields.
“Our aim is to offer talented young people highly qualified and team-oriented training with the best possible support. We see this as an important investment in our future. We train for our own operational needs so that we can continue to employ skilled and motivated employees in the future,” says Dietmar Heinisch, Head of Training at HAUTAU.
Jörg Herrmann, Technical Managing Director, adds: “Training with us lays the foundation for a promising professional career. After the final examination, there are often good development opportunities and career paths in our company. And, of course, young people can and should contribute their own ideas to their training - we are always open to this!”
To ensure optimal integration, an induction week made it easier for the new trainees to start their careers. During this time, they got to know the various departments and areas during a tour of the company and received important general information, e.g. about occupational health and safety measures. In addition, the older trainees are always on hand with help and advice.
“We want our trainees to see themselves as part of the team from the very first minute,” explains Dietmar Heinisch. “After all, they will be spending a lot of time at their workplace in the future. Naturally, they need to feel well looked after and comfortable.”
Training at the two company sites in Helpsen is anything but conventional. At HAUTAU, the apprentices are always there, right from the start and right in the middle of things. This means that young people are immediately integrated into the team and show what they can do at an early stage. At the same time, it is important that the young people also maintain contact with trainees from other professions and across different apprenticeship years. Getting to know themselves and others better and making a difference together - HAUTAU promotes all of this with a wide range of activities during the apprenticeship.
But who could be a better ambassador for an apprenticeship than the apprentices themselves?
Last year, for example, the trainees created a video clip about nine training options and three practice-integrated degree courses. In addition to communication and networking, creativity and collaboration were also required. “The result is an inspiring and authentic film that is intended to provide our young talent of tomorrow with guidance when choosing a career,” says Frank Jedamski, Commercial Director.
In just over three minutes, the film shows in various sequences which apprenticeships and dual study courses are available at HAUTAU. School and university internships can of course also be completed. Whether tinkerer, number cruncher or creative mind, the hardware manufacturer offers different training courses for many talents, which have one thing in common: interesting development opportunities, a good collectively agreed salary and the goal of working on high-quality and future-oriented hardware and window automation solutions. Of course, there are numerous benefits on top, e.g. company health management with attractive offers to promote your own health or the distribution of free fruit and drinks.
